Reading the site

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and stop attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. Cloudflare says it uses no cookies or other browser storage and doesn't fingerprint visitors. We see only totals, such as how many people read a post.

The newsletter

When you enter your email address, we send it to Resend, our email provider in the United States, so it can email you a confirmation link. Resend keeps a delivery log of that email, even if you never click the link. You join the newsletter only after you open it and press Confirm. Once you join, Resend stores your address so we can send you new posts, and every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link.

When you start using the sign-up form, Cloudflare Turnstile loads and checks that a person, not a bot, is signing up. To do that, your IP address and browser details go to Cloudflare, and we also use your IP address to limit how many sign-ups one connection can make.

Unsubscribing stops the emails. To have your address deleted as well, write to privacy@instione.com.
